Portland Pirates to receive 13 players as Buffalo Sabres trim training camp roster

The Buffalo Sabres sent 13 players Tuesday to the Portland Pirates, their new AHL affiliate.

Heading to Portland are forwards Tyler Bouck, Jimmy Bonneau, Colton Fretter, Marc-Andre Gragnani, Colin Murphy, Felix Schutz, Derek Whitmore and Josh Vatri, defensemen Paul Baier, Mike Card and Mike Kostka, and goaltenders Adam Dennis and Jhonas Enroth.

In addition, Buffalo loaned forward Philip Gogula to Kolner Haie of the German Elite League and returned defenseman Tyler Myers, the Sabres' first pick in 2008 draft, to Kolowna of the Western Hockey League.

The moves left Buffalo with 32 players remaining in camp.
