NEWARK, N.J. — Kehinde Oyelola had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead New Jersey Institute of Technology to a 63-50 victory over the University of Maine in a women's basketball game on Saturday.

The Black Bears (1-2), who trailed 25-23 at halftime against the Highlanders (2-2), shot poorly in the second half, hitting just 9 of 34 field goals.

Kristin Baker led Maine with 13 points, followed by Corinne Wellington with nine and Katelyn Vanderhoff and Brittany Williams each with seven.

USM 64, UM-FARMINGTON 34: Kaylie DeMillo scored 17 points, and Curran Leighton had 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Huskies (2-1) past the Beavers (1-1) in the championship game of the Dunkin' Donuts Tip-Off Tournament at Farmington.

DeMillo scored 14 in the first 10:44 as Southern Maine took a 24-7 lead. UMF closed to within 29-22 by halftime, but the Huskies pulled away with 19 points in a 12-minute span in the second half.

BOWDOIN 88, SPRINGFIELD 60: Caitlyn Hynes scored 15 points to help Bowdoin (1-0) win its first-round game over Springfield (1-1) in the Eastern Connecticut Tip-Off Tournament at Willimantic, Conn.

COLBY 90, ST. JOSEPH'S 54: Jil Vaughan scored 22 points to lead the Mules (2-0) past the Monks (1-2) in the final of the Colby Tournament at Waterville.

Ashley Geel led St. Joseph's with 11 points. Carolyn Freeman, Danyelle Shufelt and Allie Parent had 10 each.

KEENE STATE 84, UNE 47: The Owls (3-0) scored the first 18 points and rolled past the Nor'easters (3-1) in the title game of the Keene State Tip-Off Tournament at Keene, N.H.

Katie Ziemnik led UNE with 11 points.

BRANDEIS 63, BATES 41: Jessica Chapman had 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Judges (4-0) past the Bobcats (1-1) in the championship game of the Brandeis Basketball Classic at Waltham, Mass.

Annie Beaulieu had 12 points for Bates.

NAVY PREP 76, SOUTHERN MAINE CC 55: Teronda Brown had 13 points and 11 rebounds to help Navy Prep defeat Southern Maine CC (1-2) at South Portland.

Rachel Del Camp led the Seawolves with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Alisa Sweet had 10 points and 15 rebounds.

MEN'S HOCKEY

ST. MICHAEL'S 4, UNE 0: Reave MacKinnon and Brady Earle each had a goal and two assists to lead St. Michael's (1-1, 1-1 ECAC East) past UNE (0-3, 0-2) at Biddeford.

Nor'easters goalie Dallas Ungurian stopped 41 shots.

BOWDOIN 3, BABSON 2: Jordan Lalor scored from Robert Toczulowski at 1:55 of overtime as Bowdoin (2-0) came from behind to defeat Babson (1-1) at Babson Park, Mass.

Daniel Weiniger pulled the Polar Bears within 2-1 less than a minute into the second period and then scored the equalizer with 1:49 left in regulation.

UMASS-BOSTON 4, COLBY 3: Michael Smigelski scored twice for the Mules (0-2) against the Beacons (1-1), who opened a 4-1 lead and held on for a win at Boston.

NORWICH 4, USM 3: The Cadets (2-0, 2-0 ECAC East) scored the first two goals of the second period to take a 3-1 lead and held off USM (1-1, 1-1) at Gorham.

Chris Travis had a short-handed goal and an assist for Southern Maine. Craig Perham and Zach Joy also scored.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY

COLBY 2, NEC 1: Marissa Simmons scored twice and Filomania Falcucci stopped 24 shots to lead the Mules past the Pilgrims (4-3) in their opener at Waterville.

MANHATTANVILLE 8, USM 1: Sonia Occhionero had a goal and five assists to lead the Valiants (4-1, 4-1 ECAC East) past the Huskies (1-5, 1-4) at Gorham.

Kylie Blasen scored for Southern Maine with 2:50 remaining.
