After managing one win in their first eight road games, the Portland Pirates, the last-place team in the AHL's Atlantic Division, hit the road again for games in Pennsylvania and New York. Rookie center Tyler Ennis leads Portland with six goals, while veteran forward Mark Mancari has a team-high eight assists. In his two starts last weekend, goalie J.P. Lamoureux posted a 2.00 goals-against average and a gaudy .959 saves percentage.

NOTES: With seven players in the lineup 21 or younger, the Penguins are one of the AHL's youngest teams. Offensively, the Penguins are led by second-year pros Luca Caputi, a left wing who has scored a team-high four goals, and Dustin Jeffney, a center who has a team-high nine assists.

NOTES: With the return of forwards Jeff Taffe and Michael Rypek and defenseman Keaton Ellerby from callups by NHL parent Florida Panthers, the North Division-leading Amerks should be close to full strength. The Rochester lineup includes former Pirates Graham Mink and Clay Wilson.
