
BOYS CLASS A
Brunswick (15-1-1) vs. Scarborough (17-0)
WHEN: 10 a.m.
BRUNSWICK: The Dragons will play for their first state title since 1999, when they defeated Sanford 1-0, and their seventh state championship under Coach Peter Gardner, in his 38th season. Anchored by Justin Rosner, Brunswick's defense has given up five goals, and its only loss came Sept. 11, a 1-0 decision at Lewiston.
SCARBOROUGH: The winning streak is at 35 for Scarborough, the defending Class A champion. The Red Storm, back in the state title game after losing 14 players from last season's team, will play for the school's eighth boys' soccer championship – Scarborough has won six in Class A and one in Class B. Scarborough has scored 78 goals in 17 games and has one of the stingiest defenses in the state, having allowed just four goals.
BOYS CLASS B
Ellsworth (16-0-1) vs. Falmouth (15-0-2)
WHEN: 3 p.m.
ELLSWORTH: The Eagles meet Falmouth in a rematch of the 2007 championship game – won 3-0 by the Yachtsmen. The Eagles will have to play without starting goalie Jordan Carter, who suffered a broken arm in the Eastern Maine semifinals. Ellsworth's last state title came in 1993, a 2-0 win over Marshwood. Since then, the Eagles have made four appearances in the state final – 1996, 1999, 2004 and 2007.
FALMOUTH: The Yachtsmen are making their seventh title game appearance since 2000. Since 1993, Falmouth is one of only five teams to have won Class B titles, along with Marshwood, Scarborough, York and Yarmouth. Falmouth's two biggest offensive threats are Gabe Hoffman-Johnson and Michael Bloom. In their last 10 games, the Yachtsmen have given up only two goals.

GIRLS CLASS A
Brunswick (17-0) vs. Thornton Academy (15-1-1)
WHEN: 12:30 p.m.
BRUNSWICK: The Dragons are making their first appearance in the state final since winning their first state championship in 2004. Hilary Champagne and Allison Watson lead an offense that has produced 87 goals in 17 games. Freshman goalie Lydia Caputi has posted eight shutouts.
THORNTON ACADEMY: The Trojans are playing for their first state title. Danielle Daigle, who has 10 goals, and Kaitlyn Hall and Ellie Arsenault, who each have nine goals, lead a balance offense that has produced 52 goals. Thornton has allowed only nine goals, and Sidney Proctor has posted a school-record eight shutouts.
GIRLS CLASS B
Winslow (17-0) vs. York (15-2)
WHEN: 5:30 p.m.
WINSLOW: The Black Raiders, who won their only state championship in 2000, are making their seventh appearance in the state final in 10 seasons. Winslow has a 83-8 scoring edge over its opponents. Senior forward Jordyn Mallett and freshmen forward Alliyah Veilleux each have 19 goals, and senior midfielder Kim Curtis has 18 goals. First-year goalie Jessica Gordon, a senior who made the switch from fullback, has 10 shutouts. No Eastern Maine team has captured the Class B state title since Winslow`s championship season.
YORK: The Wildcats are back in the state final for the second time in three years – they beat Winslow 2-1 in 2007. In three tournament games, York has a 16-1 scoring edge. Senior midfielder Emma Clark, a phenomenal two-way performer, leads the team with 16 goals and 30 assists. Ashley Taylor, a senior forward, follows with 13 goals. Sophomore goalie Carly Lee has nine shutouts.
