It has come to my attention that the check-in process at the Portland Jetport is very lax, and I am concerned about this.

My daughter and her fiance have boarded four times in Portland in the last two months and have not been asked for ID when picking up their tickets.

This may not seem like a big deal, but her fiance is here on a visa. He mentioned how odd it was that the security agent joked with him as to what weapons he might have in his carry-on.

This country's safety is not a joking matter. Apparently the workers at the Jetport have forgotten 9/11.
