The First Tee of Maine will hold a fundraiser Saturday at the Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth. The helicopter golf ball drop will give participants an opportunity to purchase balls for the contest and win prizes, with the grand prize a 2010 Subaru Outback. The balls will numbered and if your ball or balls are closest to the hole or go in, you will win. To win the car, the ball has to be the first to go in the hole. Seacoast United Maine, 20 Atwood Drive in Topsham, will hold an open house to introduce its new lacrosse program on Nov. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will feature local college coaches and provide information on the new league and skills program.
