
HART OF MAINE
HART, a no-kill cat shelter and adoption center has 135 cats in the shelter for immediate adoption, plus another 25 moms that are in foster care that will be coming into the shelter soon. Citrus is an orange and white senior male who is looking for a loving retirement home. He is a very nice friendly cat and is a real cuddler. He would be happy in a quiet home with lots of windows so he can bask in the sun.
Tiggy is a tiger male with a heart of gold. He came in with his brother, Cubby, after their owner died in an accident. Cubby, is a very handsome orange male. Tiggy and Cubby are very bonded and they should be adopted together.
Beautiful Juliet is a young tiger with pretty muted colors and gentle eyes. She was abandoned at HART one morning along with several other cats and kittens. Juliet had been nursing some of the kittens.
TALL TAILS BEAGLE RESCUE
The following dogs are available for adoption from Tall Tails Beagle Rescue in Falmouth. Visit www.talltailsbeaglerescue.petfinder.org or call 797-5392. Tall Tails will be at the Pet Quarters at 486 Payne Road, Scarborough, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with rescue beagles looking for homes there. The store number is 885-5005.
Candy is a sweet, 3-year-old spayed female Beagle that came to Tall Tails Beagle Rescue from Puerto Rico. Candy has a beautiful brown and white coat with wonderful light-colored eyes and a brown nose, a very pretty girl. She is very affectionate, gets along with other pets and is an all round good girl.
Benjamin, Benny for short is an 8-year-old male beagle that came to Tall Tails Beagle Rescue from New Gloucester, because his Mom got divorced and could no longer keep him. Benny takes an affordable medicine, Soloxine, for a low-thyroid condition, but is in good health otherwise. He loves his walks, does some sweet tricks and is very playful, especially with balls and squeaky toys.
ANIMAL REFUGE LEAGUE

Paddington has never been shown the finer points of house training, but is willing to learn. Until he came to the shelter, the beagle had never had a toy and has no idea how to play with them. His body language shows he might be protective of his food, but our staff has plenty of information for new owners on how to work through that tendency.
Morabelle is 2-year-old spayed female short-haired brown tiger/white cat who came to the shelter after she was confiscated from a home that did not treat her well. She brought along three kittens with her, and they have since been adopted. She tested out quite well here, in terms of potential confidence in an ideal situation. She loved being patted, and preferred it to playtime. She wasn`t sure that she could trust enough to come when called (but she will!) and she preferred to keep her feet on the ground.
