New priorities test the friendship between Manny (Ray Romano) the mammoth and Diego (Denis Leary) the saber-toothed tiger in “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.”

New this week on DVD and Blu-Ray:

"Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," starring the voices of Ray Ramono, John Leguizamo, Eunice Cho, Queen Latifah, Bill Hader and Dennis Leary. Directed by Carlos Saldanha and Mike Thurmeier. In the third "Ice Age" installment, when Sid's attempt to adopt three dinosaur eggs gets him abducted by their real mother to an underground lost world, his friends attempt to rescue him. Songs you may recognize in the movie include "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" performed by Lou Rawls and "Alone Again (Naturally)" performed by Gilbert O'Sullivan. Rated PG for some mild rude humor and peril. Running time: 1:34

Suggested retail price: DVD $29.98; Blu-Ray $39.99

"Whatever Works," starring Larry David, Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Begley Jr., Michael McKean and Adam Brooks. Directed by Woody Allen. Attempting to impress his ideologies on religion, relationships and the randomness (and worthlessness) of existence, lifelong New Yorker Boris Yellnikoff (Larry David) rants to anyone who will listen, including the audience. But when he begrudgingly allows naive Mississippi runaway Melodie St. Ann Celestine (Evan Rachel Wood) to live in his apartment, his reclusive rages give way to an unlikely friendship, and Boris begins to mold the impressionable young girl's worldly views to match his own in this romantic comedy. This movie is a hit with fans of the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" television series. Director/writer Allen made this movie fresh off of "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," which he also wrote and directed, and for which Penelope Cruz won a Supporting Actress Oscar. Rated PG-13 for sexual situations including dialogue, brief nude images and thematic material. Running time: 1:32

Suggested retail price: DVD $27.96; Blu-Ray $39.95

"Orphan," starring Vera Farmiga, Peter Sarsgaard, Isabelle Fuhrman, CCH Pounder and Jimmy Bennett. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. A husband and wife who recently lost their baby adopt a 9-year-old girl who is not nearly as innocent as she claims to be. Nominated for a 2009 Teen Choice Award in the Summer Movie: Drama category. Watch for this filming error: When Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman) is introduced to her new class, she is holding a Nelson Spelling book. These books are not used in the United States, where the film is set; they are, however, used in Canada, where filming took place. Rated R for disturbing violent content, some sexuality and language. Running time: 2:03

Suggested retail price: DVD $28.98; Blu-Ray $35.99 (offers special edition content)

"Battlestar Galactica: The Plan," starring Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Edward James Olmos and Callum Keith Rennie. Directed by Edward James Olmos. Follows the "Battlestar Galactica: Razor" movie from 2007. Olmos also starred as Admiral William Adama in 73 episodes of the television series from 2004-09. Not rated. Running time: 1:52

Suggested retail price: DVD $26.98; Blu-Ray $39.98

"Nothing Like The Holidays," starring John Leguizamo, Debra Messing, Alfred Molina, Elizabeth Pena and Freddy Rodriguez. Directed by Alfredo De Villa. A Puerto Rican family living in the area of Humboldt Park in west Chicago face what may be their last Christmas together. Leguizamo, Pena and Rodriguez were each nominated for 2009 American Latino Media Arts Awards, and the film was nominated for a 2009 Imagen Foundation Award. Released in theaters in 2008. Rated PG-13 for thematic elements including some sexual dialogue and brief drug references. Running time: 1:38

Suggested retail price: DVD $29.98; Blu-Ray $39.98
