Who knows what you’ll encounter in the dark corridors of Prospect’s Fort Knox during Fright at the Fort this weekend and next.

The Friends of Fort Knox have teamed up with the town of Bucksport to offer a one-two punch of spooky events for Halloween. This weekend and next, head to Fort Knox to experience the historical fort like never before. For Fright at the Fort, the fort will be decked out in ghoulish finery and occupied by creatures you probably don't want to encounter. On Friday and Saturday, Bucksport will be transformed into Ghostport, with fireworks, a jack-o-lantern lighting, a coffin race, a pumpkin catapult, a Scare Trek, a night parade and more. Go to fortknox.maineguide.com/fright for Fright at the Fort information. Go to www.bucksportchamber.org for Ghostport information.

When: Fright at the Fort runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Oct. 30 and 31. Ghostport begins at 7 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Where: Fort Knox, Route 174, Prospect and Main Street, Bucksport

How much: Fright at the Fort tickets are $5 at the gate; $7 for express tickets (purchase your express tickets in advance). Most Ghostport events are free (Scare Trek is $5). $10 combo ticket for Scare Trek and an express admission to Fright at the Fort.
