Lit pumpkins are the stars of Camp Sunshine’s Portland Pumpkin Festival, taking place in Monument Square today through Saturday.

 

Camp Sunshine's Portland Pumpkin Festival gets under way this morning in Monument Square. All day long, there will be pumpkin carving. The official lighting of the pumpkin tower is at 7 tonight. On Friday, there's the corporate carving challenge, during which local companies compete to see who can carve the most pumpkins in 10 minutes. On Saturday, there will be activities for the kids, live music and refreshments. Pumpkin lighting is at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Go to www.campsunshine.org/pumpkinfestival for information.
