TODAY'S GAME

WHO: Sea Dogs (Ryne Lawson 1-8) at Trenton Thunder (Wilkin De La Rosa 3-5)

WHEN: 1:05 p.m.

TRENTON, N.J. — Jesus Montero's grand slam highlighted a five-run seventh inning, and Noah Hall hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth to give the Trenton Thunder a 6-5 win over the Portland Sea Dogs on Saturday night.

Jarod Plummer pitched five scoreless innings for the Sea Dogs, who led 4-0 going into the bottom of the seventh. Chad Rhoades walked the bases loaded, however, and Montero greeted Dustin Richardson (2-2) with a grand slam.

Trenton then added a go-ahead run on back-to-back errors by second baseman Ryan Khoury and shortstop Argenis Diaz.

Jon Still's leadoff double in the eighth led to the tying run for the Sea Dogs, as pinch-runner Reid Engel scored on a passed ball.

But Austin Krum singled with one out in the bottom of the eighth, advanced on a walk and an error by Diaz, then scored on Hall's sacrifice fly.

The Sea Dogs got four runs in the third against Trenton starter Kanekoa Texeira. Ryan Kalish singled home the first run, Jorge Jimenez followed with an RBI double, and Still's two-run double made it 4-0.
