A summer in Maine truly rocks with fun-filled days and moonlight walks

So much to see, so much to do, allow me please to list a few

Quaint antique stores along Route 1 that many find rewarding fun

Highways free from crass billboards, hardwood neatly stacked in cords

Spotting moose on timber lines, the majesty of Bowdoin’s pines

Fort Knox, Goose Rocks, and Thunder Hole, all can provide a pleasant stroll

For scenic views and coastal charm wander the grounds of Wolfe’s Neck Farm

Camden Harbor surrounded by hills, the logging past of Leonard’s Mills

Many feel that a treasure trove is Ogunquit and Perkins Cove

Machias with its blueberry yield, boys of summer at Hadlock Field

A whale-watch cruise in search of schools, Thomas Point’s well known tidal pools

The Desert of Maine, the York Zoo, the Downeast Gardens of Asticou

A sun-splashed day, a starry night, the welcome of Portland Head Light

Hunting crabs on a low-tide shore, finding bargains at an outlet store.

Moxie, Ployes, Morse’s sauerkraut, wading in a brook to catch a trout

Old Ports, old forts, countless clam shacks, Boothbay, L-A, harness race tracks

Caribou, Castine, LL Bean, a sunset cruise on The Songo Queen

Sugarloaf, Katahdin, Isle Au Haut, the Windsor Fair for its fried dough

Clams and lobsters, nature’s bounty; corn and potatoes from The County

Art shows, festivals, old-home days, museums, concerts, summer-stock plays

A rocky coast carved by nature’s force, a pleasing round on a great golf course

If it’s exercise that you’re seekin’ why not try the Beach to Beacon?

Sitting at the beach rooting for the Sox, summer in Maine truly rocks

So much to do, so much to see, summer in Maine - the way life should be!
