About 75 people attended the West Paris town meeting and passed all the articles except one that would have instituted a fee for an intent-to-build application.
The application, which is the town's equivalent of a building permit, is currently free and residents decided to keep it that way.
Residents at the meeting also adopted a $1.1 million budget, which is about 2.6 percent below last year's spending plan. The major reductions were to the town's fire department budget and West Paris' capital improvements accounts for roads and equipment, said John White, the town manager.
White said there were no major debates at the meeting, which lasted about 2 1/2 hours.
In elections, Wade Rainey was re-elected to the Board of Selectmen, Philip Edmonds was re-elected water district trustee and Wendy Newmeyer was elected to the MSAD 17 school board.
