WUDE AYALEW YIMER (#101)

OF NOTE: An alternate on the 2008 Ethiopian Olympic team. Finished fourth in last year's Beach to Beacon (32:42) after winning the Peachtree 10K (31:44) and the Bix 7M (36:57) in her debut on the American road race circuit. Currently ranked 14th in the world by Running Times magazine. Finished fifth at the 2006 World Cross Country Championships and fifth in the 5,000 meters at the 2006 World Junior Championships.

OF NOTE: Currently ranked sixth in the world by Running Times, she has won three major road races already this year: the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler (54:21), Bay to Breakers 12K (39:21) and the Bloomsday 12K. Burst on the road race scene in 2006 with victories at the Sallie Mae 10K, U.S. 10K Classic and Philadelphia Half Marathon as well as finishing third at the Bolder Boulder 10K. Joined Kenya's armed forces in 2007 and didn't race until the end of the year.

OF NOTE: Currently ranked 19th in the world by Running Times magazine, she already this year has won Bolder Boulder 10K (32:49), the Bellin Run 10K (32:51) and the Moonlight Run 5K, where she set a course record 15:48.

MARINA IVANOVA (#104)

RESIDENCE: Germantown, Md.

OF NOTE: Runner-up at the 2004 Russian 10K Road Championships with 32:34. Won the 2005 Broad Street Run 10M, the 2004 LeBourge Half Marathon and the 2004 Marseille-Cassias 20K. An accomplished marathoner, she set a personal best 2:39:50 at the competitive Osaka Ladies Marathon in 2005, finishing 17th.

ROSE KOSKEI (#105)

OF NOTE: One of the most consistent road racers on the circuit. Won four titles in 2007, including the Desert News 10K with a personal best 32:44, and finished in the top five in five others.

ELVA DRYER (#106)

RESIDENCE: Albuquerque, N.M.

BEST 10K: 31:22 (track)

OF NOTE: A former Olympian who finished 19th at 10,000 meters in the 2004 Athens Games, she remains one of the country's top distance runners. Qualified by finishing second at 2004 Olympic Trials. Set her personal 10K record while finishing third at the 2005 Cardinal Classic in Palo Alto. Won the 2005 Bolder Boulder 10K (32:51) and the 2004 and 2005 Bellin 10K. Earlier this year, placed fifth at Steamboat Classic 4-Miler (20:44) and was second American at Bolder Boulder...
