NEW FACES

n Casea Parady and Derek Hall, both of Portland, joined Purdy Powers and Co. in Portland as staff accountants. Parady is a 2007 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a degree in business administration. Hall graduated from Saint Joseph`s College this year with a degree in business administration.

n Carmen Cherry of Camden was hired as a structural engineer at Gartley & Dorsky Engineering and Surveying in Camden. Cherry has more than seven years of experience in engineering, construction and research.

n Karen A. Rea of Portland joined Patient Advocates in Gray as wellness program manager. Rea was previously with Inova HealthSource in Fairfax, Va., as senior wellness nurse and health educator and has more than 27 years of clinical nursing experience in supervisory, educational and direct care positions.

PROMOTION

n Jonathan Hopps was named director of development for Maine and New Hampshire with the Trust for Public Land. Hopps was previously senior development manager.

GENERAL

n Maurice A. Selinger III was elected treasurer of Preble Street in Portland. Selinger is a member of Portland law firm Curtis Thaxter Stevens Broder & Micoleau.

n Named officers for the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Brunswick: Michael Todd, president; Dave Millar, president-elect; Stan Primer, vice president; Dave Dearborn, secretary; Leesa Snow, treasurer; Cathy Lamb, past president. Also named to the board: Amy Landry, Dave Nadeau, John Farnham, George Pickering, Eric Baade, Chuck Mull, Mark Alexander and Chris Klimash.
