Alyssa Stokes hit a layup as time expired to give the Knights the win. The play was designed to go to Sloane Sorrell, but as time ran down and panic set in Alyssa Stokes cut to the basket for the score.

Sorrell scored 26 points to lead Noble and played the second half while in visible pain. Noble came back despite trailing 22-8 at halftime. Sorrell scored the Knights first 10 points, but in the third quarter the rest of the team came alive.

Brianna Hawkins led South Portland with 19 points, most around the low block, and Jess Aceto scored 10 for the Red Riots, including eight in the second quarter.

Noble will play Deering tomorrow for the Western A Championship.

Rebecca Creveling hit a 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded to cut the lead to two. Sloane Sorrell scored 10 points in the quarter, despite a leg injury.

Noble finally found some offense without her on the floor, anding on a 6-2 run.

Sorrell now has eight points in the quarter as Noble is in the midst of a 10-0 run. South Portland is now the team with a field goal drought. They haven't scored for over five minutes.
