FINAL: Buckfield 33, Richmond 19

Buckfield made seven of eight foul shots in the final 1:41 to win an offensive struggle in the Western D regional semifinal.
Alyssa Henderson mad efour straight foul shot late to finish with nine points for Buckfield. Megan DeRaps had five seconds in the fourth quarter to finish with seven for Richmond.

After 3, Buckfield 18, Richmond 15: Lindsay Henderson scored and was foul, making the foul shot for a three-point play with 4:33 left in the third quarter. Those were the only points of the quarter.
Both teams continued to struggle offensively, and with 3:30 left, Buckfield went into a stall, killing over two minutes off the clock before turning the ball over.

Halftime, Buckfield 15, Richmond 13: Kasey Farrington made two foul shots with .4 seconds left to give Buckfield the first half lead.
Richmond went scoreless in the first half, but went on a 9-0 run to tie the game at 13 with 48 seconds remaining. During the run Amy Russell scored four straight points.
Both teams have foul trouble. Richmond's Melanie Schanck picked up her third early in the second and Buckfield's Ashlee Hamann picked up her third late int he quarter.

AFTER 1, Buckfield 6, Richmond 0: Both teams struggled mightily on offense, missing shots from the perimeter and in the lane.
Ashlee Hamann scored five for Buckfield, which missed five foul shots.

FINAL: Vinalhaven 59, Valley 49

FINAL: Vinalhaven went on a 13-4 run at the end of the fourth quarter to pull away for the win. The Vikings went five of six from the foul line in the final 2:51 of the game to seal the win.


After 3, Valley 36, Vinalhaven 34: Claire Carter scored six points as the Vikings start the quarter on a 10-0 run to tie the game with 5:18 left.
Valley, however, got the lead back thanks to three points each by Cindy Schultz and Morgan Staples.

HALFTIME: Valley 28-18 - Morgan Staples continued to shoot the ball well, scoring seven points in the second quarter, all on perimeter jumpers, as the Cavaliers jumped out to a 10-point lead.
Cindy Schultz added eight-points in the first half for Valley.
Vinalhaven made nine foul shots in the first quarter to stay in it.

AFTER 1: Valley 11, Vinalhaven 7: After singing the national anthem, Morgan Staples came out and hit a quick three to give Valley an early lead. She finished the quarter with eight points to give Valley an early lead.

Final: Richmond girls 56, Forest Hills 53

Megan DeRaps scored 22 points and made seven of eight free throws in the fourth quarter as Richmond (13-6) beat Forest Hills (12-6) in a Western D quarterfinal in Augusta.

Melanie Schanck chipped in 17 points for Richmond, making nine of 12 free throws.

After trailing by nine at the end of the third quarter, the Tigers closed the gap by outscoring the Bobcats 21-15 in the final period, led by Elise Begin's five points. Begin led Forest Hills with 17 for the game and Crystal Allen added 11.

Final: Vinalhaven girls 61, Gr. Portland Christ. 28

Amelia Davidson scored 22 points, inluding nine during the first quarter, as the Vikings (14-5) rolled over the Lions (10-7) in a Western D quarterfinal in Augusta.
Vinalhaven jumped out to an 18-8 in the first quarter and outscored Greater Portland Christian in each period.
Danielle Woodward scored 11 points to lead Greater Portland Christian, which was held to single-digit point totals in each quarter.
