FINAL: Richmond 61, Valley 57

FINAL: Richmond 61, Valley 57: Despite trailing by 16 in the first quarter, Richmond was able fight back and earn a berth in the Class D state final.
Sam Carter finished with 23 points for the Bobcats and Walter Miller added 14.
Curtis Miller finished with 24 for Valley

AFTER 3, Richmond 42, Valley 38: Richmond's two leading scorers, Marc Zaharchuk and Brandon Lancaster both picked up their fourth foul in the final two minutes of the third quarter.
Walter Miller had eight points in the quarter for Richmond and now has 14 total.

HALFTIME, Richmond 30, Valley 29: Sam Carter hit two big 3-point baskets in the second half as Richmond stormed back to take a halftime lead. Carter finished with 14 points to lead the Bobcats, who have zero points from point guard Brandon Lancaster.
Marc Zaharchuk chipped in with seven points, all in the second quarter, and six rebounds.
Curt Miller leads Valley with 13 points.

AFTER 1, Valley 23, Richmond 7: Curtis Miller has 11 points as the Cavaliers have jumped out to a surprising early lead.
Scott Hunnewell, playing with a bandage over his left eye, added six points, while Trevor Miller had four rebounds and two blocks.

FINAL: Richmond 68, Rangeley 45

FINAL: Marc Zaharchuk scored nine points in the fourth quarter to finish with 28 points as the Bobcats cruised to a win in the Western D semifinals.
Brandon Lancaster finished with 16 points for the Bobcats, who advance to play No. 2 Valley in the finals on Saturday.

AFTER 3: Brandon Lancaster scored five straight points to end the third, including a layup at the buzzer to push Richmond's lead to 14.

HALFTIME - Richmond 39, Rangeley 27: Devon Sargent scored 13 points in the second quarter to keep Rangeley in it.
Brandon Lancaster added four points to finish the half with 11.
Devon Sargent finished with 24 for Rangeley.

AFTER 1 - Richmond 23, Rangeley 12: Marc Zaharchuk hit six straight foul shots with 4:02 left to give Richmond an eight-point lead. Zaharchuk was fouled on the play, the Rangeley Kent Madiera was called for two technicals. Brandon Lancaster scored on the ensuing possesion to give Richmond a 10-point lead.
Lancaster finished the quarter with seven and Zaharchuk had eight. Walter Miller also had eight.

FINAL: Valley 60, Forest Hills 44

FINAL: Curtis Miller scored nine points in the fourth quarter and went 4-for-5 from the foul line in the fourth quarter as the Cavaliers held off the Tigers in the Western D semifinals at the Augusta Civic Center.

After 3, Valley 38, Forest Hills 30: Forest Hill's made a run with Valley's Trevor Miller on the bench with his fourth foul, but the Cavaliers scored four straight points to take a 38-30 lead into the fourth quarter.

HALFTIME: Valley 28, Forest Hills 14 -After a slow start, Valley got its fastbreak offense going and outscored Forest Hills 22-7 to take the halftime lead.
Scott Hunnewell sparked Valley's run with six points, all in transition.

After 1: Forest Hills 7, Valley 6Both teams struggled to find any flow offensively. It took nearly three minutes for the first basket of the game, by Forest Hill's forward Cory Plante, and it took Valley nearly five minutes to score.
Trevor Miller had four for Valley, while Mitchell Lumbert had a three for Forest Hills.

FINAL: Richmond boys 67, Buckfield 37

FINAL: Brandon Lancaster finished with 22 points, while Mark Zaharchuk added 14 points and 10 rebounds as the top-ranked Bobcats cruised into the semifinals.

AFTER 3 - Richmond 51, Buckfield 32: Richmond High School's Mark Zaharchuk ignited the Augusta Civic Center crowed when he threw down a two-handed dunk with 7:04 left in the third quarter.
Zaharchuk scored eight points in the quarter and now has 12 points and eight rebounds.


HALFTIME- Richmond 33, Buckfield 16: Brandon Lancaster had 18 points as the Bobcats jumped out to a commanding half time lead. Lancaster hit four 3-pointers, two in each quarter. Andrew Litchfield has five points, all in the second quarter to lead Buckfield.


AFTER THE 1ST: Brandon Lancaster scored 10 points in the first quarter as the Bobcats jumped out to the early lead.

FINAL: Rangeley 63, Seacoast 56

FINAL: Jordan Stinglen scored 39 points, but Rangeley was able to pull out the win down the stretch thanks to a 11 point fourth quarter by senior Devon Sargent, who made six of eight foul shots in the final 1:40.
Rangeley took a 48-43 lead when Sargent scored five straight points and David Raymond followed up a missed foul shot with 6:27 left.

AFTER 3: Jordan Stinglen added 11 points in the third to push his total to 30 as Seacoast took the lead. Rangeley lost leading scorer David Raymond, who picked up his third foul with 6:31 left. He didn't play the rest of the third.

HALFTIME: Seacoast's Jordan Stinglen and Rangeley's David Raymond both warmed up after a slow start to lead their teams in Augusta. Stinglen finished the first half with 19 of the Crusaders 28 points, but Raymond hit a layup with time winding down to give the Lakers the two-point edge. Raymond finished the half with 16 points.
Thomas Belanger was the only other Seacoast player to score, finishing the half with nine points.
Kent Madeira and Devon Sargent each had five points and Ben Morton four for Rangeley.

AFTER 1: Jordan Stinglen scored 10 of Seacoast 12 points, but the Guardians still trailed after one.

FINAL: Valley 64, Greenville 45

FINAL: Curtis Miller finished with 16 points and Trevor Miller had eight, 11 rebounds and five blocks as the Cavaliers advance to the semifinals with a 64-45 win over Greenville at the Augusta Civic Center.

3rd quarter: Curtis Miller scored four points in the third quarter as the Cavaliers held onto their lead.


HALFTIME: Greenville made a late run to cut a 22-point Valley lead to 12 at the half when Emerson Sikes hit a three at the buzzer.
Ronald Pinkham scored nine points, hitting three 3-pointers, to lead Valley. Cam Miller added six and Brandon Osgood had five for the Cavaliers.
Sikes has nine points for Greenville, also on three 3-pointers. Tim Post added six.

FINAL: No. 3 Forest Hills 45, No. 6 Elan 42

No. 3 Forest Hills advance to the regional semifinals for the first time since 1992 with win over Elan.
Cody Gilboe scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Forest Hills.
Malcolm Turner led Elan with 19 points and 16 rebounds.
