Winthrop sophomore Easton Morang pitched a complete game three-hitter to lead the Ramblers to a 9-1 win over Hall-Dale in a Mountain Valley Conference baseball game Friday.

It still takes a pretty decent shot to hit a ball out of Gardiner's Hoch Field, but this year it will be a little easier since the fences were moved in 45 feet down the left and right field lines.

Sam Leclerc scored a game-high 28 points as the Winthrop High School boys basketball team beat Calais 72-62 to win the Class C state championship.
Ezra Damm added 15 points and Andrew Smithgall 10 for Winthrop, which played without starter Tim Gingras.
Sam Bell and Rod Tirrel each had 16 points for Calais.
