The Sea Dogs are offering their annual "win-win" 2-for-1 ticket deal.
Here are the details:
THE RED SOX will conduct their annual tour through New England, although no players are scheduled to make live appearances. Wally the Green Monster will appear. The Maine stop is this Monday, 10 a.m., at the L.L. Bean retail store in Freeport.
Among the promotions is the give-away of 1,000 vouchers on a first-come, first-serve basis. With the vouchers, fans can purchase two Red Sox tickets for 2009 before they go on sale to the public on Jan. 24.
In addition, one fan who visits the Maine stop will win an "Opening Day VIP Experience." The winner will get a pre-game tour, watch batting practice on the field, and get 4 tickets to the Opening Day game on April 6.
SEA DOGS scorekeeper Thom Hinton is offering a scorekeeping course through the City of Bath adult education. It runs on Thursday nights, 6-8 p.m., beginning Feb. 5, for six weeks.
THE ANNUAL 2-for-1 ticket deal/canned food drive is underway at Hadlock Field. Through Jan. 30, fans can by two Sea Dogs tickets for the price of one ticket, along with one can of food. The cans be donated to the Good Shepherd Food Bank.
