Dogs lose; no moves yet
The speculation that Michael Bowden will be promoted to Triple-A is, so far, just that - speculation. No moves to report yet.
The Sea Dogs lost to Trenton 8-2. The close game turned into a rout when the Thunder scored five runs in the ninth.
Daniel Bard pitched only 2/3 of an inning, using 29 pitches (16 strikes). Trenton kept fouling off pitches against him, the first batter a 9-pitch walk, the second batter a 10-pitch walk. Bard then got a strikeout and fly-out, but he was done.
As usual, if there is any more news, I'll be blogging.
