Bowden done after 5 2/3
Sea Dogs ace Michael Bowden is done with his start Sunday at Hadlock Field.
Will he be back?
Bowden did not have his best stuff going Sunday (5 2/3 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 6 K). He retired the first seven batters, but then left some balls up. He bulldogged his way through some jams.
Bowden's numbers may have been better, until Edwar Gonzalez's two-run homer in the sixth.
Ben Cherington, Red Sox VP/Player Personnel, is in attendance. GM Theo Epstein has already watched Bowden pitch here.
Could that mean it's time for Bowden to go up to Triple-A?
If a move is made after the game, I'll let you know.
Meanwhile, Daniel Bard has entered in relief. First pitch: 98 m.p.h.
Tune in later.
