Pinckney with Fisher Cats; lineups
It's official: Third baseman Andrew Pinckney, who was released by the Red Sox Friday, signed with the Blue Jays Saturday and was assigned to the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
Pinckney played 1 1/2 seasons with Portland and had some of his best games in Manchester. Pinckney, a left-handed pull hitter, called MerchantsAuto.com Stadium, with its large hitter's eye and short right-field wall "my dream park."
Pinckney will get to see his old teammates when the Fisher Cats come to Hadlock Field July 8-10.
Meanwhile, the Sea Dogs are getting ready to play Trenton tonight at misty Hadlock.
