Rain went away, but came back
The first rain delay lasted only 16 minutes. During the second delay, the tarp never came off the field.
The Portland Sea Dogs left Manchester Sunday, trailing 4-1 in a game that was halted with two outs in the fourth inning.
The game will be completed when the Sea Dogs come back to Manchester for a four-game series, July 28-31.
Maybe then the Sea Dogs will change their luck. They created plenty of chances Sunday, but stranded 7 runners in the first four innings.
New Hampshire, meanwhile, moved its runners. Sea Dogs starter Kyle Jackson allowed six baserunners, on three walks and three hits. Four of them scored, and Anthony Hatch was still standing on second base, after his two-run double in the fourth, when the heavy rain came.
