Moves and lineups

Slept in this morning (meaning later than 6 a.m.) and realized those poor Sea Dogs were still on the road to Binghamton, where they will start their game soon.

In case you did not hear, the Sea Dogs won their game over Connecticut in the 17th inning Wednesday night. See the story

The Sea Dogs recieved some reinforcements today from extended spring training. Left-handed reliever Kyle Fernandes (2205 draft, 12th round) and catcher Sandy Madera (singed this month from the independent leagues) joined the team today.

In a paper move, first baseman Aaron Bates was put on the inactive list, and rleiever Daniel Haigwood was transferred to the Lowell roster.

Fernandes pitched in both Greenville and Lancaster last year. Madera spent most of last season with the New Jersey Jackals of the CanAM League.
