Colon on the DL

Clay Buchholz will keep his major league job a little longer. Bartolo Colon, who has look impressive in recent outings, has been put on the 7-day disabled list with a right oblique strain.

The move affects the Sea Dogs, since Chris Smith has been promoted to Pawtucket to make Tuesday's start in place of Colon.

Justin Masterson will pitch for Portland Tuesday on the regular four days' rest (the Sea Dogs were rained out Thursday), but their starter Wednesday is TBA.

Actually the Sea Dogs were rained out on Friday in New Britain, not Thursday as your story says...
