Masterson, Colon shine
While Justin Masterson threw pitched four scoreless innings for the Sea Dogs, Bartolo Colon was throwing a shutout in his outing in Triple-A.
Colon continues to look like the Red Sox No. 5 starter (meaning Buchholz goes to Pawtucket). In the Pawtucket opener in Rhode Island Thursday, Colon pitching five innings, allowing one hit, one walk, no runs, while striking out five. Providence Journal writer Joe McDonald blogged that Colon hit 94 on the radar gun.
Masterson allowed three hits in his four innings, walking none and striking out three.
