REMAINING IN FORT MYERS
Starters
LH Tommy Hottovy

Goodson and Corsaletti could return within 2-4 weeks. Hottovy and Dobies reportedly have not started throwing.

Smith returns to the Sea Dogs rotation for a fifth season, but it is considered a temporary move, until Goodson is ready.

Other contenders for a roster spot were free agent catcher Steve Torrealba and corner infielder Scott White (a third round draft pick out of high school in 2002). Both were released.

In other transactions, the Red Sox removed two relievers – Jackson and Edgar Martinez – from the 40-man roster. They cleared waivers and were outrighted to minor league rosters. Martinez is schedule to pitch for Pawtucket.
