Steinbrenner smears Red Sox Nation

What does Hank Steinbrenner think of Boston fandom?

"Red Sox Nation? What a bunch of (expletive) ..."

Steinbrenner's comments come from a story that will be publshed in a New York Times magazine on Sunday. See the story on the ESPN website about Hank's opinions.

The guy is colorful. Yankees fans must love him. And lest Red Sox fans want to throw stones, remember Larry Lucchino's "Evil Empire" comments years ago.

Silly talk, all of it. Makes the rivalry all the more interesting.
