39-0!

So we know the Red Sox can hit college pitching ...

After beating Boston College 24-0 and Northeastern 15-0 on Thursday, it was hard to figure out what the Red Sox got out of the two exhibitions.

But there were some highlights from a Sea Dogs/Red Sox point of view

In the BC game, centerfielder Bubba Bell showed patience (3 walks, 3 runs), second-baseman Tony Granadillo showed power (grand slam), and Aregenis Diaz showed a little (2-for-2).

Bell and Granadillo will be starters in Portland this season. Diaz, just turned 21, may be there.

Also in the first game, former Sea Dogs outfielder Brandon Moss went 3-for-3 while playing both right field and first base.

In the second game, Mickey Hall, an outfielder with a chance of making the Sea Dogs roster, went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. Sea Dogs outfielder Jeff Corsaletti enjoyed a 2-for-3 game. And former Dogs catcher Dusty Brown walked twice and singled.
