"A titan in baseball"

With the Congressional hearing over, can Roger Clemens just say goodbye now?

No more comebacks at mid-season with the attention-grabbing drama of 'will he pitch again or won't he?' (The answer is always yes, especially when some fool club offers him the money).

No more defiant stares. That look may intimidate on the mound, but it looks more and more like the expression of Rafael Palmeiro a few years ago.

No more foolish statements. Instead of following the demand of a Congressional Committee to turn over the name of a witness, he invites the witness to his house first. That is called witness tampering. Clemens told the committee "I was doing y'all a favor."

... then there was the one that Andy Pettitte must have "mis-remembered" when Pettitte's testified that Clemens told him he used performance enhancers.

Representative (and SuperFan) Dan Burton of Indiana called Clemens a "Titan in Baseball." What does that have anything to do with this?. I suppose the number of strikeouts you record allows you to tell so many lies.

Is Clemens lying? I believe so, but I watch from a distance. I don't think there is enough proof for criminal charges.

I don't care. I didn't care when he left the Red Sox, or the Blue Jays, or the Yankees, or the Astros. I don't care what cap he wears in the Hall of Fame, although I have a suggestion. Fit him with a plain cap with two large letters on the front - ME.

Please, Roger, just go away.

Why would you do that?
"Fit him with a plain cap with two large letters on the front - ME."
Someone could confuse it with Maine.
