The Mr. Roger Show
Don't know if I will watch the hearings today with Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee. There's shoveling to do and games to play (it being a snow day and all).
Which member of Congress will first express his/her devotion publicly to Clemens, and that they've always been a "fan."
The circus the last few days featuring Clemens lobbying the members of the committee - the one that he is going to testify before- has really pointed out how foolish our elected representatives and their staffs can be.
Why even allow a visit by Clemens? Should they not have said, "We'll hear what you have to say in the hearing." Why off the record and behind closed doors?
So, do you think there will be fair, tough, objective questioning from those Congressmen that posed for pictures with the Rocket, or allowed their staff members to get autographs?
Pathetic.
I don't know what the outcome will be. If it turns into a "He said/He said" sort of affair, then someone is lying - under oath.
But the question remains, espeically in front of this committee, whether the truth will come out.
