World Series bound
The Red Sox are on a Rocky Mountain High (okay, so I had to get that line out of my system, with the Rockies coming) ... Crazy night last night, going from a close game to a rout.
Did you see all the ex Sea Dogs contributing?
Kevin Youkilis scored the winning run.
Jacoby Ellsbury was on base, when Dustin Pedoira hit his two-run homer.
Jonathan Papelbon got a six-out save.
Fun to watch the Hadlock alumni at Fenway.
With the World Series starting Wednesday, the Red Sox will now have to re-set their playoff roster. Think there will be any changes?
Tavarez for Gagne?
And do you start Curt Schilling in Game 2? He would be on a normal rest period, but he has been doing better lately with extra rest.
Would you start Wakefield in Game 2 instead? Isn't the idea of Wakefield pitching in Colorado a little frightening?
There will be debate, for sure. But I would think Schilling is going in Game 2 (which sets him up for Game 6).
Daisuke Matsuzaka will eventually become more than a reliable 5-inning pitcher. For now, the Red Sox will take it.
And while Colorado is on quiet a streak, the Red Sox do possess the streak-stopper. Namely, Josh Beckett.
The Rockies are a fun story. Can't wait to start researching and writing.
As always, thanks for your emails and input.
I'll stay in touch.
