Dicey-K
How many times have we heard it. In baseball, your momentum is only as good as the next day's starting pitcher.
So what is Daisuke Matsuzaka to do against the Yankees tonight?
His fastball has been getting hammered. So the solution seems to be to throw more off speed pitches. But he has to be on target for thos. These are Yankees. They take more pitches than the Red Sox (which is one reason the average length of game between these two teams is around 3 1/2 hours.
If Matsuzaka does not have pinpoint control ... well, he's in trouble.
And on the other side, the Red Sox will be facing Andy Pettitte and his trademark glare, looking over his glove for the sign. This match-up favors the Yankees.
Should be a fun series. Please check out the Press Herald story.
