Out of touch
Just a thought or two before vacation officially starts.
I noticed Brandon Moss playing first base in Pawtucket and wondered what that was about. (Moss was initially a pitcher/infielder in high school. When the Sox drafted him, they moved him to the outfield).
Maybe there is a need for a back-up fielder who can play first base.
With the trade deadline near, the Red Sox could use a right-handed back-up outfielder.
I liked the way the bullpen was going until Manny Delcarmen collapsed Sunday. Then again, it is silly to give up on him, after so many solid appearances.
I will check back with you the following week.
