Buchholz today and then?
Clay Buchholz is pitching today and it might just be his last appearance at Hadlock Field.
I know, we have hinted toward Buchholz's promotion to Triple-A for a month. But the Red Sox have a habit of making minor league moves around the All-Star break, and Buchholz will not have another home start before then.
Ben Cherington, Red Sox VP/Player Personnel, is in town and he will likely be joined today by general manager Theo Epstein.
Buchholz is 6-2 with a 1.79 ERA and a dominating 111 strikeouts in 80 1/3 innings.
By the way, at last count, there were only about 400 seats left for today's game.
