Ellsbury heating up
Jacoby Ellsbury enjoyed a 3-for-6 night Tuesday in Pawtucket's 15-6 win over Durham, with two stolen bases, two runs and an RBI. In the past three games, Ellsbury is 6-for-14 and his now batting .292 in Triple-A. Others are shining, too.
David Murphy continued his recent tear with a 2-for-5 night and is at .316.
Old friend Jeff Bailey, a notoriously slow starter, went 5-for-5 with three doubles on Tuesday. His average is inching up at .225.
In advanced Class A Lancaster, outfielder Bubba Bailey homered again. He now has 11, to go with his .351 average. Bell, a graduate of Nicholls State, is already 24 and thus a candidate to be moved to Portland sometime.
Lancaster infielder Tony Granadillo is only 22. It just seems that he is older since he's been a pro since 17. He is batting. 355.
In Greenville, teenage first-baseman Lars Anderson had two hits last night and is batting .308.
Greenville closer Josh Papelbon recorded his seventh save with two scoreless innings. His ERA is 1.31.
