B&B's, M&M's
Clay Buchholz and Michael Bowden have been watched closely since both were picked in the supplemental round of the 2005 draft. The B&B boys shined Tuesday night with a combined 13 shutout innings, 18 strikeouts and no walks.
Buchholz pitched perfectly for six innings in Portland, finally finishing with an 1-hit effort over seven frames (9 K's).
Bowden pitched for advanced Class A Lancaster in the California League and gave up five hits over six innings (also 9 K's).
In Triple-A, the M&M guys - David Murphy and Brandon Moss - are in the same outfield again, after both played all of 2005 in Portland.
Murphy is heating up after a 3-for-4 night on Tuesday, boosting his average to .303.
Moss homered again Tuesday and leads Pawtucket with five home runs, 15 RBI, a .316 average. His on-base percentage is .407.
