About 75 people at the town meeting Saturday approved an estimated $1.5 million municipal budget, which includes the establishment of a town-run medical clinic.
The town will employ medical professionals and assume the financial burden of operating the practice, Town Administrator Joe Stone said.
Stone said the municipal budget increased 25 percent from last year, partly because of the first payment of $200,500 for paving roads.
Residents voted to spend $78,100 for police protection, $55,000 to maintain roads and bridges and $36,000 for capital improvements to town roads.
"The meeting was remarkably unexciting," Stone said.
Voters also agreed to spend extra money -- $25,000 -- to buy a new firetruck. The town needs to replace its 1937 pumper truck.
"It does well in parades, but I'm not sure if I want it at the town's biggest fire," Stone said. "It's a pretty truck -- nice and shiny."
