New Sharon: Residents replace road commissioner
Staff report Maine Sunday Telegram Sunday, March 4, 2007

Voters at Saturday's town meeting chose to replace road commissioner Kevin Brann after 18 years of service.
Brann was defeated by Donald Lowe, who also serves as one of New Sharon's two code enforcement officers, 75-67. Discussion of the roads ruled the meeting's morning portion.Ý
About 150 residents packed the Cape Cod Hill School gym.
Voters appropriated $327,800 for construction and maintenance of town roads.
All three incumbent selectmen held on to their seats and got $1,000 raises.
Town Clerk and Tax Collector Rose Mary Eller was re-elected unanimously, and voters gave Treasurer Miriam Smith another term and a $1,000 raise.
School Board Director Bob Neal, who did not seek re-election, will be replaced by Bill Reid, who edged out Azure Turcotte, 42-36.
