Doug Jones has gleaned over thirty-five state, regional, and national awards in his thirty years as a staff photographer for the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram.

A native Mainer, Doug strives to seek a unique and entertaining perspective each time he aims his lens. He's traveled from coast to coast in the U.S. and to Canada, and Norway for international coverage for the newspaper. His most recent out-of-town assignment was in Colorado to document the impact of the tax payers bill of rights that state has had since 1992.

"I'm very exicted about our online newspaper with its opportunity to produce photojournalism in new formats," says Jones. "The greatest thing about photojournalism is that it's constantly evolving."

Jones is an avid sailor, tennis player and skiers, with four children and five grandchildren.
