Don't you just love it when technology works for you, not against you? I'm not talking in a "robots will rise up against us and overthrow humanity" sort of way (though they will, so watch your Roomba), but more along the lines of "maps are neat-o and useful."

Art on Decks
Things have really picked up on the local skateboarding front in the last few months.
It seems like the situation went really quickly from "the skate park has been leveled" to "we wholly support the idea of a new skate park in Portland."

Skateboarding law on the bubble
It looks like the city of Portland is taking baby steps towards decriminalizing skateboarding. Last night the City Council’s Public Safety Committee unanimously voted to recommend changing the law that makes riding skateboards on downtown streets illegal.

It appears – for the moment at least – that all hope is not lost for skateboarders. Tuesday at Deering Oaks Park in Portland skateboarders will be welcomed with open arms.
