NXT Radio: Stuff White People Like
In our second installment of scenes from a ROFLCon, we bring you Christian Lander, Canadian and would-be authority on things that the White People like.
In case you have been living in a cave without Internet access for the last several months, Christian Lander is the author behind the blog Stuff White People Like.

What do white people like? According to Lander the list includes grammar, scarves, Mos Def, having two last names and assists.
The blog has enjoyed a rocket-sled-esque trajectory over the last several months, going from obscurity to the pages of the New York Times and The New Republic. It has also spawned a fair share of imitators like Stuff Asian People Like and Stuff Educated Black People Like among others.
Some say that rise has come from Lander's humor, wit and the combination of right place/right time. Others say it can be attributed to less than subtle racism against people of the Caucasian persuasion. After all, do only White People enjoy those things? (I happen to like assists and Mos Def among other things.)
For his part Lander says he's no racist and started the blog out as a joke with a friend. While he's surprised by the success and popularity of the blog, he takes the criticism in stride. What hurts more than being called a racist, is being called a bad writer, he said.
The former copyrighter is currently working on a "Stuff White People Like" book for Random House that is due out this summer.
To hear more of his thoughts on the popularity of the blog, how he got things started and his thoughts on his new found success you'll have to check out the podcast!
