Scanner: Hot dogs and pride, 'Fox and Friends'
As the rest of the country shakes off the inevitable fireworks hangover from this fine country’s birthday, here’s at least one thing that makes America great: hot dog eating contests.
While not exactly Rocky vs. Ivan Drago, I think as Americans we can all get behind Joey Chestnut, who brought pride back to this great nation by beating Kobayashi – the previously unstoppable juggernaut of hot dog eating – for the World Hot Dog Eating title.
For those of you who are close followers of the sport – and are not squeamish, here’s the video of Chestnut’s victory, thanks to YouTube.
Of course, we truly have to wonder if Kobayashi was 100 percent, following reports of his jaw injury. Where was the ESPN sideline reporter with that breaking news?
The superintendent of Lewiston’s schools is asking if Fox News is really as "Fair and Balanced" as it claims to be.
Leon Levesque says the network’s morning show, "Fox and Friends" reported a parody story as fact following an incident where a student threw a ham bone on a table filled with Muslim students.
The lawsuit says the anchors on "Fox and Friends" referenced Levesque as saying "These kids have got to learn that ham is not a toy."
Since then Levesque said he’s received plenty of threatening and racist phone calls, and places the blame squarely on Fox.
