no one is making you buy the wood.
The cutting, splitting and hauling ten cords (43,000 lb.) is lots of work. The idea is to get more wood on the market and lower prices.
Unless the tree is dead, the green wood will not be ready for 18 months at best.
With all those windmills and electric power lines many trees will have to be cleared.
Mile wide firebreaks should planned for the entire state. A Hugh Forest Fire would give off more CO2 than every person in the state would in a lifetime.report abuse

I can see limiting the amount of wood a citizen may take.
For the government to charge a citizen for wood that the citizen has already paid for through taxes is a crime!!!!!!!!!!
I suppose it is just another WOOD TAX from Augusta!report abuse

So public land is being used to give someone 10 cords of firewood they can then turn around and sell to me at the same price I pay for wood not off a public land. And they can bag the difference?
Sounds like I (a taxpayer) would be paying for the same thing twice!report abuse

On the door gasket, if a dollar bill can be pulled out with the door closed on it; needs to be changed. Do that when there is no fire going.report abuse

Golf, check the gaskets on the door and make sure your stove pipe and flue is clean. Code requires three screw at each pipe joint.
