Still practicing
A total of 10 pitchers and catchers start spring practices this afternoon in softball - despite the sunny weather outside, practice will probably be inside.
But if you're a Cape Elizabeth softball player, the unexpected day off from school doesn't mean you can enjoy a free Monday afternoon.
"We're practicing today," Capers Coach Joe Henrikson said earlier this afternoon..
Good thing. Starting today, Cape Elizabeth defends its Class B softball championship.

With Davidson's upset of Georgetown on Sunday in the NCAA men's tournament, the Bryant Barr Watch continues. Barr, a former Falmouth standout, played in five minutes and took one shot in the Wildcats' 74-70 win over the Hoyas.
When it comes to trendiness, it looks like Davidson is the new black of college basketball.
