UMaine football players in the NFL
Four former Maine football players from the past two seasons are still keeping the dream alive at various NFL camps.
New York Giants: Kevin McMahan had three receptions for 57 yards on Thursday night against the Patriots, including an 18-yarder in his first play in the fourth quarter. McMahan, Maine's top wide reciever in 2005, was selected by the Oakland Raiders as the final pick in the 2006 NFL draft (Mr. Irrelevant).
New York Jets: Defensive lineman Mike DeVito had two tackles and a sack for an 8-yard loss against the Eagles Thursday night. DeVito was an all-conference tackle for Maine last year.

Are you ready for some Football
T-minus two days until the University of Maine football team opens the 2007 season at home against Monmouth (NEC).
No, they're not playing Nebraska or Mississippi State this year, but some interesting storylines have come out of preseason.
*Michael Brusko, a straight-shooter from Pennsylvania won the starting job at QB. He's a sophmore with experience in all 11 games last year.
*The defense, despite losing four key players, is being billed as the strength of the team again.
