• Nationally ranked USM will attempt to keep a 17-game win streak going with a 3 p.m. game today against Husson, a 3:30 p.m. game Friday against UMass Boston, and a doubleheader at noon Saturday vs. Rhode Island College.

The following players will be honored Saturday for senior day:

Josh Stowell of Portland (Deering)
Tim Therrian of New Portland (Carrabec)
Andrew Stacy of Denmark (Fryeburg Academy)

St. Joe's baseball hosts the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament this weekend.

The Monks, 13-1 in the GNAC, are the No. 1 seed and will player either No. 4 Johnson & Wales or No. 5 Emerson Friday at 4 p.m. in Standish following a first round bye.

Thursday, April 23
No. 1 Saint Joseph's College and No. 2 Suffolk - BYE
Game A No. 6 Lasell at No. 3 Albertus Magnus (Quigley Stadium) - 6:30PM
Game B No. 5 Emerson at No. 4 JWU (Pierce Field) - 6:15PM

Friday, April 24
Game C Winner Game B at No. 1 St. Joe's - Time 4:00 PM
Game D Winner Game A at No. 2 Suffolk - Time TBA

Saturday, April 25th at St. Joe's, Larry Mahaney Diamond
Game E Loser Game C vs. Loser Game D 10:00 a.m.

A former Portland Pirates beat writer who has covered two winter Olympics for the paper, Jenn will expand her beat this year to include the University of Southern Maine, St. Joseph's College, Bowdoin College, the University of New England, and Southern Maine Community
College.

She will continue to cover the
University of Maine Black Bears, the state's only division one program.
