• Tune into NESN to catch the UMaine men's basketball team against New Hampshire Thursday night in Durham, N.H. at 7 p.m.

The 9-16 Black Bears, 4-8 in America East, have just four regular season games remaining before the conference playoffs.

• The 3-21 UMaine women (1-10 America East) take on Albany tonight at 7 p.m. and then have four games left in the regular season.

The University of New England men's basketball team has won a whopping 19 straight. The team takes on Gordon College tonight on the road before closing the regular season at home on Saturday vs. Nichols College at 3 p.m.

The Nor'easters will host a Commonwealth Coast Conference quarterfinal game next Tuesday. They are currently ranked 10th in the NCAA Division III Regional Poll for the Northeast - a program first.

• The men's team at Southern Maine Community College battles UMaine-Augusta tonight at 7 p.m. in the YSCC quarterfinals.

The winner will play Central Maine Community College at 6 p.m. Saturday in the league semi-final.

• The USM women (19-5, 9-4 Little East) are likely to host a first round playoff game next Tuesday at Hill Gymnasium.

• The Bowdoin women (20-4, 8-1 NESCAC) clinched the top seed for the NESCAC tourney and will take on Williams College Saturday at 3 p.m.

A former Portland Pirates beat writer who has covered two winter Olympics for the paper, Jenn will expand her beat this year to include the University of Southern Maine, St. Joseph's College, Bowdoin College, the University of New England, and Southern Maine Community
College.

She will continue to cover the
University of Maine Black Bears, the state's only division one program.
