Maine-Syracuse football?

It looks like the University of Maine football team may wind up playing Syracuse instead of Florida State next season, according to the Maine sports information department

Maine is still officially under contract to open at Florida State, but FSU has been pursuing a game against Miami that would be nationally televised on ESPN.

Details like game time, guarantee money, etc. are not available yet.

Maine is scheduled to open the season at FSU, but if the schedule change does happen the Black Bears may have to open against another non-conference opponent first and play Syracuse later in September.
